There are few churches in George Town. St. George's Church is located at the junction of Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling and Lebuh Farquhar. It was built in 1818. It is Penang's oldest Anglican church. In front of the church is a monument of Francis Light.
Another church is Cathedral of the Assumption (as seen in right top row photo) which is located at the junction of Lebuh Farquhar and Love Lane, next to the State Museum. I do not know its opening time but I guess it should be opened during day time. Opening time is 0900 hrs and closing time is 1700 hrs. Entrance is free. |
