Hari Raya Puasa Celebration is celebrated by all Malay in Malaysia because they are of Muslim. It is a religious celebration after fasting half day for a month. Apart from the Malays, muslims of other races will celebrate this day too.

I saw in one cartoon about 'mandi sunat' that is when they wake up on raya day, they will have to that their bath (with just plain water or something else, I don't know). Then they will eat together before going to pray at graveyard. In Malaysia, for 1 month after the fasting month, they can have 'open house' for people of any race. This is usually done by politicians only because they want to create a 'muhibah' feeling but usually only politicians and Malay themselves will go.

In 2008, I did not visit any raya open house because I did not keep track of where the open houses were held and tired after doing night shift OT. Missed my free 'makan'.

During my school days, we would visit our Malay classmates (not more than 5) home. Some will serve us satay with rendang, roti jala, curry chicken and many types of biscuits and 'kuih'. That's been more than 20 years ago. Wah! Happy holiday to all Malaysian.
