Penang Bee Ko Moi, Gandum and Bubur Cha Cha (Chinese)
Bee Ko Moi is a dessert which is made from 'pulut hitam'. The 'pulut hitam' is boiled until it is cooked and starchy. Then it is served with 'santan' on top of it. This dessert is served warm. One bowl is about RM2.00 (year 2013 price). The left side photo shows Bee Ko Moi on the right and the santan at the bottom left. This was bought from a stall by the road-side outside Adventist Hospital. This stall does not come everyday but his one bowl of this dessert is normally RM1.00 (year 2013 price).

Bubur Cha Cha is a desert that can be served warm or cold. The cold bubur cha cha is shown on the right side photo. The ingredients are 'big read beans', yam, sweet potato, 'agar-agar' or jelly, sago and something like jelly. The liquid is santan with iceand some syrup. One bowl of this dessert is normally RM2.50 (year 2013 price). The warm bubur cha cha which my mum used to cooked for me has yam, sweet potatoes and bananas only. The 'soup' is boiled santan added with water and some sugar.
