Air Itam Dam is located about half-way on the way up to Penang Hill. It is a nice place to go for a leisure walk as the air is fresh but for your information, the place is not as cooling as it sounds (hill and dam). The left first row photo was taken at the carpark showing the entrance into the dam area. The right first row photo was taken along the road just after the entrance. The second row photos show part of the dam taken along the main walk-way in the dam area. At the end of the main walk-way is a 'T-junction' where the right turn does not lead to anywhere nice to see the dam. The left turn will lead into the path-way around the dam. See third row photos. The forth row photos show some scenery taken at about one-third to half way along the route around the dam. The left photo shows the carpark area at the far end. The right photo shows the town area. It looked misty but it was not because I did not feel any cool air at all when I was there. The left fifth row photo shows the furthest part of the dam looking from the main walk-way after the entrance. It was taken at about half-way along the path-way route. After a short distance, there is a 'hill path' going up to 'Tiger Hill' which is a part of Penang Hill, I guess. The last row photo shows a hill-way to other part of the hill, taken looking back. The carpark is some distance from this junction and there is nothing interesting along the way there. The dam cannot be seen as there are many trees. All the photos in this page were taken during the 'Kayuh Lasak' event. Penang Air Itam Dam is open to all and the entrance is FREE. Just remember to "Keep Penang Clean". Opening time is hrs and closing time is hrs. Entrance fee is RM (year 2013 price).		Coming events - none
