Balik Pulau is a township in the southern centre of Penang Island. It can be reached from the north by Teluk Bahang way, the south by Bayan Lepas area and the northern centre by Air Itam way. From Balik Pulau, visitors can go to Pulau Betong fishing village area. The left first row photo shows Balik Pulau surrounding areas (if not wrong) taken from the Teluk Bahang way. The right first row photo shows an island off the coast of Pulau Betong area heading towards a training camp. The left second row photo shows a paddy field in Balik Pulau. Some parts of the paddy fields around this area was already cleared / harvested. I think, some parts of the field are being used to plant fruit trees and vegetables. The right second row photo shows a coffee shop selling nira drink made from Nipah flower stalk. I bought one packet which cost me RM3.00! More expensive than coconut drink, I guess due to processing the stalk. The bottom photo shows a homestay in Kampung Jalan Baru. Apart from this, Balik Pulau has a Spice and Fruit Farm. Come during durian season between July and August for its ranges of durian taste. There is a herb garden and herbal spa is also available around kampung Sg Korok area.		Coming events - none
