Penang Chee Cheong Fun (Chinese)
Chee Cheong Fun is made from rice batter into thin layer then steamed. It is usually tasteless by itself. Therefore, sauces are added on top of it. 
One way is to mix sweet paste sauce and prawn paste (mixed with belacan) sauce with it. The left side photo shows the pastes put by the side but when eating outside, they are usually mixed with the chee cheong fun. Another way is to serve plain with soy sauce and sesame seeds as shown in right side photo. The price for one plate of this food including the sauces is normally RM2.00 for two rolls (year 2013 price). |
