Kuala Besut Jetty is situated near the border of Kelantan. Speed boats can be taken from here to Perhentian Island and back for a fare of RM70.

The boat can drop the passengers at Coral Beach on the west side of Pulau Perhentian Kecil (Small Perhentian Island), Long Beach on the east side of Pulau Perhentian Kecil (Small Perhentian Island) and Pulau Perhentian Besar (Big Perhentian Island).

A short distance away from the jetty facing the sea is Kuala Besut Square. A budget hotel and some shoplots are situated there. There is a very nice public toilet situated near this place, on my way to the Kuala Besut Bus Terminal. Kuala Besut Bus Terminal is quite near the Jetty, I think less than 1 km.

Lastly, if you were to visit any where in Terengganu, kindly keep the places clean by throwing your rubbish into rubbish bins.
