Tempurung Cave is located about 25 km south of Ipoh, Perak. This cave has a length of about 1.9 km and has many different formations of stalactites and stalagmites.
Visitors to this cave can hire a guide to show you the places where certain formations can be sighted. These guides can either take you on a platform walk until 'Golden Flowstone', 'Top of the World' or caving. The time required for caving is about half day to one day day depending on where you want to go.
The temperature inside the cave can vary from one place to another. I guess 'Top of the World' is warmer because when I got there I felt quite hot. I can be due to walking too. 'Top of the World' is also very hazy as seen in the left third row photo.
Before reaching 'Top of the World', there is an area where the wind is quite strong, all the time I guess. The guide will tell you before he reaches this area. So, be careful if you intend to wear a hat or cap. If it got blown down under the platform, you won't be able to get it back.
Use your imagination to picture the formations on the wall seen in left bottom photo. You should be able to see a dolphin on the left and a sheep next to it. There are formations of other animals but I could not get the photographs because it was pretty dark. I simply clicked on the area where the guide pointed using his torch light. The formation seen in the right bottom photo looks like drawing.
Lastly, kindly keep Tempurung Cave clean by throwing rubbish into the the trashbin.
